The French multinational now joins the long list of Lazpiur’s automotive manufacturing customers, which includes Volkswagen, Daimler and Ford.

Bergara (Gipuzkoa, Spain), 11 July 2017 – Lazpiur has attained approval to become a supplier of highly complex tooling for Peugeot. The French multinational has examined the goods produced by the Spanish company and has concluded that it meets all the requirements for becoming a supplier as of now.

The forging tooling manufactured by Lazpiur requires great technical preparation both of machinery and operators. The company has extensive experience accumulated over recent years, and has made new investments associated with industry 4.0. All this has enabled the Bergara company to specialise in the manufacture of high precision tooling that requires very special characteristics as regards finish and tolerances.

The parts manufactured by Lazpiur that may be delivered to the Peugeot factories after the approval, are used in different parts of the car: steering, brakes, clutch etc.).

With this new involvement, Peugeot now joins the long list of Lazpiur’s OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers, which includes car manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Daimler and Ford.

In the high precision tooling area, Lazpiur has a wide range of products in its portfolio, both wear tooling (punches, dies, ejectors, open dies, shear knives, etc.) and larger standard tooling such as wedges, blocks, frames and die plates.

Lazpiur, in addition to being a specialist in highly complex tooling, also manufacturers highly innovative machinery and is present in 25 countries on four continents. In addition to car manufacturers, it also has Tier-1 multinational companies such as GKN, Hirschvogel, FAG and HAY Group as customers.
