Economic activity in the manufacturing sector contracted in July for the ninth consecutive month following a 28-month period of growth, say the nation’s supply executives in the latest Manufacturing ISM® Report On Business®. “The Manufacturing PMI® registered 46.8 percent in July, down 1.7 percentage points from the 48.5 percent recorded in June. Lamons®, a global leader in precision safety sealing and attachment solutions announced the acquisition of Auge Industrial Fasteners (“AUGE”), a premier North American manufacturer of highly engineered and critical fastening solutions. The Board of Bulten AB (publ) has appointed Axel Berntsson as new President and CEO of the Bulten Group. Axel will enter his new role no later than January 22, 2025. Read more:
Boeing announced Robert K. “Kelly” Ortberg, respected industry veteran with more than 35 years of aerospace experience as the company’s new president and chief executive officer, effective August 8, 2024. Ortberg will also serve on Boeing’s Board of Directors. Read more:
On July 30th, 2024, Illinois Tool Works reported second quarter 2024 results for the period ending June 30th, 2024. For the quarter, revenue came in at $4.0 billion, shrinking 1.2% year-over-year.
