For the first time since 2008 two new members are being added to the National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo Hall of Fame. Leo J. Coar, Editor and Publisher of Distributor’s Link magazine, and Surinder Sakhuja, founder of Stelfast, Inc., will be honored at a reception Wednesday, October 22, at 5pm in the Treasure Island Hotel Ballroom. This event is by invitation only.

Leo J. Coar’s career in the fastener industry began in 1954 as a salesman for Southern Screw Company in New York and New Jersey. Leo would later branch out into selling nationally, as well as manufacturing and distributing. For the past 37 years he has been the editor and publisher of Distributor’s Link Magazine, one of the most respected publications in the fastener industry.

Surinder Sakhuja immigrated to Canada in 1965 after getting his degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked in Toronto until 1971, when he bought a gear factory that he renamed ESES Ltd. He expanded ESES into buying and selling nuts and bolts, as well as buying other businesses and opening the first USA ESES warehouse in Lorain, OH. Surinder later separated the fastener aspect of his business and created Stelfast Fasteners Inc. in 1976. Today, Surinder’s daughter, Simmi Sakhuja, is the President of Stelfast.
