After a busy week in Fastener Industry events…We sent our Editor at Large, Cris Young out to track down Nancy Rich, Executive Director of the Midwest Fastener Association to find out more about FSTNR Week!
Nancy reported a huge success! The tabletop tradeshow and networking were very well attended and received as the industry’s largest gathering since the pandemic began. Nancy had some BIG NEWS to share with us, as she and several other members were inducted into the MWFA Fastener Hall of Fame. The 75th Anniversary dinner was celebrated with Gold Etched Wine Bottles for each guest, providing memories to last forever. The golf outing drew over 100 golfers and the week closed out with the MWFA mixer, bringing many back together for a final networking event before travels back home. She also noted, great appreciation for all the participants of FSTNR Week. MWFA.net

After expanding at a record pace in July, manufacturing activity slowed a bit in August but continued to grow robustly, with the IHS Markit Flash U.S. Manufacturing PMI declining from 63.4 in July to 61.2 in August.
