Good NEWS for The U.S. distribution and wholesaler market, on a big upswing in 2021 and a big reason for the momentum is digital commerce. Through the first six months of the year, distributor and wholesalers’ sales are up year over year by 23% to $3.388 trillion from $2.774 trillion for the first six months of 2020, according to the Department of Commerce.

The St. Louis Federal Reserve’s FRED Producer Price Index by Commodity: Metals and Metal Products: Bolts, Nuts, Screws, Rivets, and Washers continues its historic rise to 234.9.
Nucor Corporation announced today that its board of directors has approved the construction of a new state-of-the-art, three-million-ton sheet mill. Nucor is evaluating locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The new mill will be geographically situated to serve customers in the Midwest and Northeast markets and will have a significantly lower carbon footprint than nearby competitors.

Bufab has entered into an agreement to acquire all outstanding shares in the US company Components Solutions Group, Inc, (“CSG”), with annual sales of approximately USD 30 million.
Trifast has Acquired Falcon Fastening Solutions for $8.3 million dollars to enhance their North American Footprint. Trifast is a leading international specialist in the engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of high-quality industrial fastenings to major global assembly industries.
